In 2008, Zhumatay started his career in the Administration (Executive Office) of the President of Kazakhstan, having worked in it as an expert and then as a consultant of the Department of socio-economic monitoring. In 2010, he served as Director of the Department of Development of Economic Sectors in the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Kazakhstan. From 2010 to September 2016 he worked in JSC “National Agency for Technological Development”, taking up the position of Managing Director – Director of the Center of analytical and methodological support, as well as Deputy Chairman of the Board. With over 8 years of experience in government, he decided to try his hand in the real sector, recently joining a group of companies Centrasia Group LLP providing a wide range of oilfield services.
Holds Master in Public Administration degree from American University in Washington D.C. and B.A. in International Studies from Eurasian National University in Astana, Kazakhstan.
Awarded with Honorary Diploma of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2012). Winner of the John D. Young Award of the American University School of Public Affairs(2007).
He is a member of “Bolashak” Presidential Scholarship Program Alumni Association Council. He speaks Hindi, Urdu and English.
